Who are CBeebies Little Learners?

CBeebies Little Learners is an app that’s designed to prepare children aged between 2-4 for school by developing key learning skills.

Brief

Create new promotional content for the Little Learners app rebrand (from Go Explore).

Who the video was for

The CBeebies Apps department wanted new promotional content for the new Little Learners app, which was previously Go Explore.

Audience

 
Anyone responsible for children between the ages of 2-5 (teachers, parents, carers).

Why it mattered

This project mattered as it actively helps children develop important early learning skills in a fun, free way. The app being free is important so that every child has the opportunity to benefit.

My role

I was responsible for executing the rebrand, creating new content in order to promote the new app. This meant working with new branding and colours, along with new games.

I came up with the concepts, I also made sure to add lots of fun transitions and pop ups to keep attention and highlight how fun the app would be.

The outcome

A brand-new set of content that was used to generate interest and promote the new Little Learners app. All content was received well by both the children’s and education department and continues to be used.

Challenges

• 
  It was a large task to be one of the only people tasked with the rebrand content.

• The rebrand meant that the app would belong half to the children’s department and half to the education department. This meant factoring in and collaborating with the education department throughout the entire process for each piece of content.
